Issue: April, 2009 to September, 2009-Latest News about MGI Talent:

MR. AND MRS. WARD DUFF

Tanja Montez and Ward Duff tied the knot on April 20, 2009 at a unique and beautiful ceremony at the Hilton hotel. While it was a small gathering of a few family and friends, the nuptial and wedding dinner was held amid a setting of beautiful paintings, statuary and fountains in the Italian renaissance style. This was a perfect reflection of the creativity and artistic talents of Tanja and Ward. We all wish them the best and may all their dreams come true.

VIDEO AND RADIO PRODUCTION OR CHAOS?

MGI members taped a series of vignettes working title? Little Philosophies To Get You Through The Day. The idea was a series of video commentaries on the daily frustrations of life and getting through them in one piece. Those that participated were Tanja Montez-Duff; Rosemary Rock; Mike Chappel; Bryce Huddleston; Tom Quinlan; Mary Bennet, Rick Bindhamer; Allan Berke, Holland Baker, and Sam Gartner. Allan Berke, Cameraman, Rick Bindhamer and Paul on sound. We have not completed editing and sound needs to be corrected. Only then will we know if this project is marketable. We’ll keep you posted !

On our radio project, it didn’t Quite turn out as we thought.

XANADU FEATURES MEDIA GUILDS VEGAS VOICE ACTORS

April 17 to 20, 2009, MGI’S VEGAS VOICE ACTORS did something unusual and appeared at the XANADU Sci-Fi, Fantasy and Horror convention. The Vegas Voice Actors pre-recorded about 8 comedy/horror vignettes, then performed the vignettes behind a back lighted scrim as their Voice-Over dialogue play. The result was incredibly effective, and if standing room only audience reaction was any measure, the group was a great success. The program consisted of Alien Hunters, written by Bryce Huddleston, and performed by Bryce Huddleston, Mike Chapel and Rick Bindhamer. Interview With a Vampire featuring Ward Duff, and Holland Baker; written by Betty Lougaris. A Robot In Your House, written by Betty Lougaris and performed by Tanja Montez Duff, Rosemary Rock, Bryce Huddleston, Tom Quinlan and Mike Chappel as narrator. Inner Demon, written by Jim Morris and performed by Tori Garber, Allan Berke, and Ward Duff. What About Rodney written by Betty Lougaris, featuring Holland Baker and Mary Bennet. Munchkin Candidate writtern by Rick Bindhamer and performed by Rosemary Rock, Mary Bennet, Bryce Huddleston, Tom Quinlan, Rick Bindhamer and Mike Chappel. Batman and Catwoman written by Betty Lougaris, narrated by Mike Chappel, featuring Ward Duff and Tanja-Montez Duff. Hand Baskets for sale performed by Tori Garber, Tom Quinlan, Allan Berke and Rosemary Rock. The Mad Scientists Go to Xanadu, a short introduction to our entertainment, featuring Rick Bindhamer, Ward Duff, Tanja Montez -Duff and Mary Bennet, narrated by Mike Chappel. Allan Berke has been not only our camera man, but actor, soundman and all round technician. Paul Gilford recorded our voice-overs and handled lighting, backing us every step. Rick Bindhamer worked not only with sound, but in other capacities on and off stage. Our Assistant Executive Director, Sharon Huddleston provided the cast with invaluable stage management assistance, script assistance, staging assistance, the coffee, tea and goodies to keep our stamina up; Kelly Huddleston was Sharon’s assistant always there to keep us going. MGI thank all talent, all crew and Sharon and Kelly for their special help. At the end of the show, Sharon had Tom Quinlan present all cast and crew with Oscars with names engraved, for a job well done. To all you great MGI people: Many thanks.

RR PARTNERS REQUEST TALENT

More requests for talent have been coming in from RR Partners to fill roles in various projects. Every effort is made to fill audition requests. How this is done is simple: RR Partners sends out a casting call to Media Guilds Int. and agents. This includes a brief synopsis of the commercial, the number of types of roles in the commercial, and the date of submission. MGI members are submitted according to the age, gender, and other physical requirements of the role, and RR Partners lets me know which of the MGI submissions they wish to audition. Last week, August 13 and 14 they requested Judi Prane and Candace Wise. These audition requests come in about once a month.

Bryce Huddleston has been busy through the summer with his sharp shooting group, and writing a new story. Maybe we should do a “Western??
